Automotive Group Australia has partnered with the Association of Vehicle Installers (AVI) to lift installation standards across Australia.
A product is only as good as the way it’s fitted. A poor install can mean electrical faults, early failures and vehicles off the road. Done properly, the same product is safe and reliable and lasts for years.
We joined AVI for one reason: to get more AVI-trained and accredited installers working on Australian vehicles. We’d like every accessory, fitout and electrical install to meet recognised best practice, whoever does the work.
The Association of Vehicle Installers is a UK-based professional body for the vehicle installation industry. AVI runs installer training and accreditation built around safe, consistent installation to recognised best practice.
Through FleetCraft, our fleet fitout brand, we’re encouraging fleets to ask for AVI-trained and accredited installers. It gives you consistent, safe fitouts across every vehicle, whichever site did the work.
When you’re getting accessories fitted, ask whether the installer is AVI trained. It’s a simple way to know the job is being done properly.
Over the next 12 months, AGA and AVI are running an education and awareness campaign across Australia.
We’re also working with AVI on enhanced warranty arrangements for products fitted by AVI-trained and accredited installers. More to come.
Whether you’re an installer looking to get accredited or a fleet manager wanting better fitouts, we’d like to hear from you.
